So, I was walking home from school last Friday, thinking about going to the Jets later on, and looking dubiously at the sky and the encroaching storm front. As I looked at the sky to my left, there were roiling, brooding black clouds, seething in the sky. As I looked above me, there was a stark division between dark clouds and spring-blue skies. In the sky on my right, apparently oblivious to the inclement weather, a hang-glider and pilot were just floating around in the big old blue, as happy as could be. A stark contrast. A Kodak Moment, if you want.
As I have mentioned previously, I often engage in little debate and ponderings with myself on the walk home from school. There are many things to think about in this world. What I think about varies from things as human and personal as love, emotion and the human condition, to things as stark and impersonal as particle physics, quarks and photons. Mostly, though, I think about myself. One of my favourite things to think about, is this:
If a passer-by in the street could take a snapshot of me, not just what I look like, but my thoughts, memories and feelings, what would they think? Kodak Moment.
Now, before you all get on about how Chrissy's getting all insecure and emo, I want to say that I'm not going weird on you. It's a good thing. It puts everything into perspective, and helps you de-stress. I would recommend this spot of psycho-exercise to anyone in a moment of boredom and reflectiveness.
Anywho, see you all round.
Chrissyboi.

Chris if someone took a snapshot of everything about me I would probably be arrested by the CIA.
ReplyDeleteWhile that may be true, it is only a thought exercise, after all.
ReplyDeletechris, after just waking from a nana nap to have dinner and followin today's maths where i have my own couple nickname thanks to seb, if there was a snapshot of me, it would make small children never look at another photo ever again. EVER AGAIN.

I laughed.
ReplyDeleteI don't have time to ponder random things. More pressing matters need my attention. Like learning all the words to the entire Wicked soundtrack. Can you not see how this is important?
